# Onyx Points

### Points are distributed to users who actively engage and contribute to the growth of Onyx. <a href="#points-are-distributed-to-users-who-actively-engage-and-contribute-to-the-growth-of-sentiment" id="points-are-distributed-to-users-who-actively-engage-and-contribute-to-the-growth-of-sentiment"></a>

* The Onyx points program began on May 13th, 2026.
* 1,000,000 points are distributed per week.
* Onyx points are distributed every Friday.
* Users can earn additional points by referring others to Onyx via referral links.
* Points allocation is relative to overall user activity, meaning very small amounts may not accrue points. This is a measure implemented to deter sybil attacks.
